BMO Bank of Montreal has pledged $250,000 in support of the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation's campaign to raise funds for the new Cancer Centre in Mississauga.
BMO's gift to the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation is designated for The Carlo Fidani Peel Regional Cancer Centre which offers cancer care to patients living in Mississauga, the Region of Peel and the surrounding communities of Halton, Dufferin, Simcoe, and GTA West. Credit Valley's cancer care program includes radiation therapy, a first for the region, as well as oncology clinics, surgery and greatly expanded chemotherapy facilities.
“On behalf of our patients, we are grateful for BMO's significant support of our capital campaign,” said Norma Bandler, The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation President. “We are proud to announce that their gift places them in our Diamond Society of donors alongside other generous members of our community who have made a gift of $250,000 to $499,999.”
“BMO is committed to being actively involved and supportive of the communities in which we live and serve,” said Marilyn Rozsa, Vice President of Peel Halton District, BMO Bank of Montreal. “We view our support for the development of world class cancer care right here in Mississauga as a crucial reinvestment in our community.”
The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation has undertaken a $50 Million World Class Right Here Capital Campaign to support the hospital's much needed expansion. To date, the community has contributed more than $47 million toward the Foundation's $50 million goal.
