YWCA Calgary and BMO Financial Group Present Financial Young Whiz Lesley Scorgie at Power of Women Event
The YWCA of Calgary Power of Women - Power to Change luncheon series, presented by BMO Financial Group, features young financial whiz Lesley Scorgie on Wednesday, September 20th.
Scorgie has been saving and investing since she was 10 years old and in 2001, at 17 years old, she appeared on Oprah to share her story on finding the pathway to financial security at such a young age.
Following the speech, Alison Keene from BMO Nesbitt Burns will answer questions from the audience on investing for the future and planning a career in the financial sector.
The speaker series was developed to promote and encourage networking among women; increase awareness of important issues facing women in the community; provide learning opportunities for women both professionally and personally; and raise funds for the YWCA's programs for women in Calgary.
