Canada's first and only team in Major League Soccer, Toronto FC, is holding open tryouts this week, and four mascots are ready to strut their stuff!
BMO Financial Group's ‘BMO the Bear', the Toronto Maple Leafs' ‘Carlton the Bear', the Toronto Raptors' ‘The Raptor' and the Toronto Marlies' ‘Duke the Dog' will try and earn a place on the team by showing off their soccer skills for Toronto FC head coach Mo Johnston.
The tryout will be followed by a news conference on Toronto FC's open tryouts, featuring Mo Johnston.
Toronto FC joined Major League Soccer on May 11 as its 13th team and the first outside the United States. Toronto FC will begin play this spring at the new 20,000 seat BMO Field at Exhibition Place.
