    Media Advisory Bank of Montreal Notice of Annual Meeting and Proxy Circular Available Online

    Bank of Montreal's (TSX, NYSE: BMO) Notice of Annual Meeting of Shareholders and Proxy Circular was mailed to shareholders today and is now available online at www.bmo.com/investorrelations. The notice and proxy circular have also been filed on the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR) website at www.sedar.com and on the United States Securities and Exchange Commission website at www.sec.gov/edgar.shtml.

    BMO Financial Group will hold its 189th Annual Meeting of Shareholders in Toronto, Ontario, on Thursday, March 1, 2007. The meeting will take place in the Concert Hall, at The Carlu, 444 Yonge Street, 7th Floor at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

    The annual meeting will coincide with the release of BMO Financial Group's first quarter results for the period of November 1, 2006 to January 31, 2007.
