On Saturday, May 5, BMO Bank of Montreal will celebrate the official grand opening of its new Georgian Mall branch by making a donation to United Way of Greater Simcoe County and the Kinark Child and Family Services in Barrie.

BMO's donation to the United Way will help to support the more than 40 programs in place that provide food, shelter, education and training to more than 150,000 people in the Barrie area.

The donation to Kinark Child and Family Services will subsidize recreational activities for as many as 50 children of low income and single parent families participate in activities such as swimming, soccer and ballet.

BMO, the official bank of the Toronto Maple Leafs invites customers and fans to come by and meet Wendell Clark at an autograph signing, enjoy burgers, hot dogs and cake at a complementary BBQ, and enter a draw to win one of many great prizes.

“BMO has a long-standing tradition of community support and employee volunteerism,” said Lucille Hutchinson, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “Many of our employees are actively involved in organizations throughout Barrie. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to introduce our staff to new customers and neighbours and to share with them our appreciation and support for the organizations who mean so much to this community.”
