On Thursday, June 21, 2007 BMO Bank of Montreal will celebrate the official grand opening of its new Bay and Breadalbane branch, in the College Park complex, by making a $5,000 donation to the new maternity ward at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
BMO's donation will support the construction of a new home for Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre's Perinatal & Gynaecology program which cares for women and babies. The program is currently located at 76 Grenville Street (Women's College Hospital) and will move in 2010 to a new state-of-the-art facility on Sunnybrook's Bayview Avenue campus to assist with the growing volume of patients. The move and expansion of Sunnybrook's Perinatal & Gynaecology program will provide the best possible medical environment for women, newborns and premature infants, when it matters most.
“We wanted to give back to the community with a donation to one of our local esteemed hospitals and show our appreciation and support for the organizations that mean so much to the health and well-being of our vibrant community,” said Maria Guyenot, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal.
BMO invites customers and neighbours to come by and join the celebration where there will be a complementary BBQ and a draw to win one of many great prizes. BMO the Bear will also be on hand giving out piggy banks.
“This grand opening event is a great opportunity to welcome customers to our new location which features extended banking hours, knowledgeable banking professionals, and a convenient location in the downtown core,” added Ms. Guyenot.
