BMO Bank of Montreal is donating $50,000 to the Stratford Fairgrounds Agricultural & Recreational Complex Campaign, to celebrate the $1.35 million renovation, face-lift and re-opening of its new full-service branch in Stratford, Ontario.
BMO is announcing this donation at its 7,177 square foot branch at 73 Downie Street during a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 19, at 3:30 p.m. The donation will help fund the new state-of-the-art facility that will host sporting events, rural shows, as well as national, provincial and local agricultural conferences in Stratford.

We work with Canadians to build healthy and safe neighbourhoods, towns and cities,” said Sherry Cubberley, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “This grand re-opening and donation to the Stratford Fairgrounds Agriculture & Recreational Complex provides a wonderful opportunity to welcome customers to their new branch, meet neighbours and to show our appreciation and support for the organizations that mean so much to the well-being of our community.”
BMO's Stratford branch, established in 1860 and located in the downtown core of Stratford, has been converted into a modern banking centre offering a full range of financial and investment services.
Features of the new branch include:
- A dedicated team of financial services professionals offering banking services;
- Offices where clients can have financial discussions in private;
- Personal and Commercial banking specialists;
- A Financial planner;
- A mortgage specialist;
- Two ABM machines for after hours service; and
- On-site parking facilities and full wheelchair accessibility
