BMO Bank of Montreal Comes to Lloydminster BMO Invests $1.5 Million in Growing Border City and Adds Green Power to New Branch – A First for Lloydminster

BMO Bank of Montreal opened the doors to a new $1.5 million branch in Lloydminster today. It is conveniently located at 3812 – 50th Avenue, in Southridge Commons commercial development, just a few blocks south of the Yellowhead Highway.

BMO also announced that the Lloydminster branch is the second branch in Alberta that will receive its electricity from Bullfrog Power – the first bank branch and the first business in Lloydminster to be “bullfrogpowered”. Homes and businesses in Ontario and Alberta will receive electricity generated from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact hydro. BMO has purchased 5,000 Megawatt Hours per year of clean, emission-free electricity from Bullfrog Power.

Ms. Brooks added, “We are very excited to be back in the city and are eager to get involved in community activities.”

The 6,500 sq. ft. branch will have a staff of 13 banking and investment professionals, is located near major retail and commercial developments and features:

  • A highly experienced team of in-house experts – including personal and commercial banking managers, a financial planner, and a mortgage specialist;
  • Offices where clients can have meaningful financial discussions in private;
  • Two Instabank Extra automated banking machines (ABM), including a drive-through ABM;
  • Ample on-site parking for BMO customers; and
  • Full wheelchair accessibility.

The new branch will operate from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays; and 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays.

The Lloydminster branch will hold an official grand opening celebration on Saturday, January 19, 2008.

BMO Bank of Montreal now operates 107 branches in Alberta, of which 23 are In-Store branches in Canada Safeway, offering seven day service.
