CALGARY, AB, July 4, 2008 – Children and accompanying adults have free admission from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. at BMO Kids' Day on Wednesday, July 9. The day starts with a pancake breakfast followed by great kids' entertainment and the chance to win fun prizes.
BMO Junior Reporter contest for kids ages 8-13 was held for the second year. Children were invited to submit a brief essay and a video clip of themselves for the chance to win the grand prize of a $2000 BMO Intuition RESP. The two contest winners also have an opportunity to write a story about the Stampede and BMO Kids' Day and file a news report on 660 News Radio.
The winners are: 11-year old Charlotte Hardy, an energetic member of St. Margaret's School drama club, who speaks Spanish fluently and loves country music. The winning boy is John Richardson, 12 years of age, who will be attending Willow Park Creative Arts Junior High. Their prize package also includes rodeo and grandstand tickets, a western outfit, and midway rides coupons.
