MONTREAL, September 9, 2008 – BMO Financial Group, in partnership with the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI), will hold an awareness day for its clients, employees and the public to promote cardiac health through healthy eating and lifestyle choices. Cardiovascular disease is one of the major causes of mortality and morbidity in Quebec and Canada, as well as one of the most costly diseases for the Quebec health-care system.
This special event will be held on Wednesday, September 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the BMO Financial Group Place d'Armes complex located at 119-129 Saint-Jacques Street in Montreal.
Dr. Martin Juneau, MHI's Prevention Director, will hold a conference at noon and kiosks will be set up for participants to have their blood pressure and cholesterol level measured and speak with kinesiologists and other professionals from the Institute.
L. Jacques M�nard, President of BMO Financial Group, Quebec, will announce the second largest gift in the history of BMO in Quebec, to support the Montreal Heart Institute's prevention programs.
