BMO Financial Group 2008 Financial Statements Available Online

TORONTO, December 10, 2008 – BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO) today announced that its Fiscal 2008 financial statements and related Management's Discussion and Analysis are now available on the bank's website at www.bmo.com.

The statements have been filed with securities regulators in Canada and are available on the Canadian Securities Administrators' web site at www.sedar.com. The statements will also be available on the EDGAR section of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's web site (www.sec.gov).

BMO's 2008 Annual Report to Shareholders will be filed with the regulators next week, and will be available online at that time by visiting www.bmo.com/annualreport2008.

Printed copies of BMO's 2008 Annual Report, along with the Proxy Circular and Notice for BMO's Annual Meeting of Shareholders to be held on March 3, 2009 in St. John's, Newfoundland, will be mailed to shareholders at the end of January 2009.
