Media AdvisoryBMO Capital Markets to Host North American Unconventional Gas Conference

NEW YORK, January 9, 2009 – BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), will host its 2009 North American Unconventional Gas Conference Tuesday January 13, at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, New York City.

Management teams of leading natural gas producers, services companies and pipeline companies will be in attendance. Participating companies include: EnCana (NYSE: ECA), Talisman Energy (NYSE: TLM), Southwestern Energy (NYSE: SWN), Ultra Petroleum (NYSE: UPL) and National Fuel Gas (NYSE: NFG), among others.

The BMO Capital Markets Energy Research team is led by Randy Ollenberger, Managing Director. Members of the research team serving as speakers and panel moderators for the event include:

The luncheon will feature keynote speaker Scott Rees, Chairman and CEO of Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc., worldwide petroleum consultants. Mr. Rees will present a comprehensive overview on the fundamentals of unconventional natural gas plays.
