BMO – the Bank of Soccer – Rolls Out Blue Carpet at TFC Games and Announces Launch of BMOsoccer.com
TORONTO,
April 2, 2009 – Toronto FC superstar Dwayne De Rosario
and head coach John Carver were on hand as BMO – the Bank of
Soccer – today announced two major initiatives that expand
its relationship with The Beautiful Game at an event at First Canadian
Place in Toronto.
BMO Power of Blue
First, BMO announced that BMO Power of Blue, the program that has been
delivering unique and unexpected perks and privileges to customers attending
a growing number of BMO sponsored events across the country, will be
in place at all Toronto FC home games at BMO Field in 2009.
At every TFC game, BMO customers will have:
- An exclusive entrance
at BMO Field's Gate 1;
- An exclusive will-call window at the ticket office; and
- The opportunity to receive a free gift.
Plus, one lucky BMO customer will be selected before every home game
to join the team captains and officials at centre-field for the official
coin toss.
“BMO Power of Blue lets us make our customers feel special, by
enhancing their experience at the game and creating unexpected, perhaps
once-in-a-lifetime, opportunities,” said Sandy Bourne, Vice President,
Advertising, Merchandising, Sponsorships and Events, BMO Financial Group. “We're
thrilled to partner with Toronto FC to bring this great program to our
customers at Toronto FC games.”
BMOsoccer.com
As well, BMO today announced the launch of its new soccer-focused website,
BMOsoccer.com. The website offers soccer fans online games, soccer skill
instructions from Toronto FC and Canadian national team coaches, information
about upcoming Play Soccer and Mini Soccer Festival events in towns across
the country, plus soccer contests, downloads, and more.
“With BMOsoccer.com, we get the chance to get even closer to soccer
fans across Canada,” said Bourne. “We're excited about
giving Canadians such great information about the sport and our role
in it. We know BMOsoccer.com will become a must-destination for people
who love soccer.”
