SCARBOROUGH, ON, April 16, 2009 – BMO Bank of Montreal has more than doubled the size of its branch located at 2301 Brimley Road in the Chartwell Shopping Centre. Friends, customers and neighbours are invited to celebrate its re-opening on Saturday, April 18, 2009.

“We are here for our new and existing customers in an even bigger way to provide personal financial advice that is relevant in our current economic environment,” said Edward Wong, BMO Branch Manager. “This branch is ready to accommodate our growing number of customers, with more staff and partners such as BMO Harris Private Banking, BMO Nesbitt Burns and BMO Investorline.”

As of April 1, 2009, all BMO ABMs are equipped with audio function for the visually impaired. The audio ABMs give customers the ability to hear private voice instructions when conducting an ABM transaction using audio headphones and the key pad. This new feature provides greater accessibility to self-service banking and gives security to customers affected by vision loss.

BMO has shown its continuous support to the Scarborough community by being a strong supporter of the Yee Hong Foundation for the past 15 years. BMO sponsored the Dragon Ball in 2009, and is a supporter of the Greater Toronto Chinese Cultural Centre. There are six branches in the area with eight ABMs to serve customers.
