Something New in Olds!BMO Bank of Montreal Opens New Branch in Olds, Alberta
OLDS, AB, June 8, 2009 BMO Bank of Montreal today officially opens its new branch at 100, 6900 – 46th Street in the west end of Olds, Alberta. The new branch, which has moved from its previous location at 50th Avenue to the new Cornerstone development, will provide customers with more comfortable and larger premises, expanded services, extended hours of operation and ample free parking.

The branch is home to a team of 16 personal banking and investment professionals, including a BMO Nesbitt Burns Investment Advisor, a financial planner, and commercial bankers, all of whom are eager to provide a great customer experience to their new and existing BMO customers.

“BMO has a strong reputation for supporting customers through good times and bad,” said Wes Taylor, Vice-President, South, Centre, North & NWT District, BMO Bank of Montreal. “This commitment has never been more relevant than it is now given the current economic climate.”

“And at this time of year Olds area farmers are into the growing season. Should they need to look at funding alternatives they may want to opt for BMO's Agri ReadiLine, a product that has high flexibility for borrowing under a single authorization,“ added Mr. Taylor.

The new branch has been installed with two convenient ABMs, including a drive-thru ABM, providing customers with access to their accounts, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. The new Olds branch is the 20th branch in Alberta to be powered by Bullfrog Power's Green Energy. Bullfrog Power provides homes and businesses in Alberta, B.C. and Ontario with electricity generated from clean, renewable sources like wind power and low-impact hydro.

The branch's expanded hours of operation are:

Monday to Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

“Alberta should remain an important driver of Canada's economic growth over the next decade,” said Robert Kavcic, Economist, BMO Capital Markets. “With its vast energy reserves, Alberta should continue to prosper as global commodity demand increases, and the province should continue to see strong population and income growth.”

“We are committed to making money make sense for every one of our customers and invite everyone to come in and talk to us about how we can help them save money,” said Ann Reid, Olds Branch Manager. “We also hope everyone will celebrate our grand opening with us on Saturday, June 27.”

“Plus if you're one of the millions of AIR MILES collectors in Canada, we have another reason for you to bank with BMO,” said Mr. Taylor. “No other bank can help you collect faster and redeem more quickly because we are the only major financial institution that rewards debit and credit card purchases, including online purchases, with access to a comprehensive choice of more than 800 reward and travel options,” Mr. Taylor added.
