BMO Capital Markets Appoints Andrew Busch as Public Policy StrategistBusch to have dual role as Public Policy Strategist and Global Foreign Currency Strategist

CHICAGO, November 25, 2009 BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), announced today that Andrew Busch has been appointed Public Policy Strategist.

Based in Chicago, Busch will now provide clients with analysis on public policy issues in both the United States and Canada and the potential impact those issues can have on global financial markets. He will also continue to act as Global Foreign Currency Strategist, where he is known for offering thought-provoking insights about trends in foreign currencies. Busch becomes part of BMO Capital Markets' Global Research Group.

Busch is widely followed by clients and media for his daily commentaries and his frequent appearances on major financial news outlets, including CNBC where he is a regular contributor. He is a recognized expert on world financial markets and how these markets are impacted by political events. His views appear daily in his newsletter, the Busch Update.

In 1990, Busch joined BMO's Foreign Exchange Group in Chicago. Prior to that, he traded foreign exchange at Northern Trust Company. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and received a MBA from the University of Chicago.
