Media Advisory BMO Capital Markets to Host Annual 2010 Fixed Income Perspectives Conference

Re-building credit expected to be dominant theme at the event

CHICAGO, July 29, 2010
– BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE, TSX: BMO), will hold its annual Fixed Income Perspectives Conference on Friday, August 6 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.

The conference will be hosted by Justin Hoogendoorn, Managing Director, U.S. Fixed Income and Dimitri Delis, Director, U.S. Fixed Income, BMO Capital Markets. Together, they will address the impact of the geo-political environment and provide an outlook for the fixed income market, both from a macro and strategy perspective.

"We're dealing with a difficult credit environment, and as the economy continues to recover, re-building credit has become the focal point," said Mr. Hoogendoorn. "This event will provide investors and issuers with targeted insights to help make informed investment decisions."

Additional highlights include a Municipal Credit Panel discussion featuring Moody's, Standard & Poor's and key investment analysts. They will address the challenges and credit opportunities in the municipal sector. In addition, an Electric Utilities Panel will discuss some of the critical issues facing the electric utility industry. The panel will include large power bond issuers and a Fitch public power analyst. This panel will also explore how market developments will impact power supply, competitive positioning, and bond security.
