BMO Capital Markets to Donate One Day’s Worth of Institutional Equity Trading Commissions to Charities that Support Education
For the sixth consecutive year, BMO to host special trading day tomorrow to help provide access to education for people who might not otherwise have the chance

TORONTO and NEW YORK,September 21, 2010 – BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO), is proud to host its 6th Annual North American Equity Through Education trading day on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

 

Once again, BMO Capital Markets will donate one day’s worth of institutional equity trading commissions earned in the U.S. and Canada to nine charitable organizations that seek to improve access to education for bright and deserving individuals.

 

Since the launch of the program in 2005, Equity Through Education has raised a total of CAD $8.1 million (US$7.4 million), assisting more than 2,000 individuals who have directly benefited through scholarships, bursaries and other educational programs.
