BMO InvestorLine Extends Low Flat Trading Rate To More Clients

Pricing of $9.95 per trade extended to more clients

Survey shows more than one third of Canadians either trading online or are considering doing so

TORONTO, Nov 2, 2010 – BMO InvestorLine today announced that beginning December 1, 2010, it will extend its low flat rate of $9.95 per trade to more clients.

The low pricing will be available to clients with $50,000 in assets invested through BMO InvestorLine and applies to trades for Canadian and U.S equities made through online or automated telephone services.  The asset level needed to qualify for this new rate will be easier to reach because clients can also combine assets from any BMO InvestorLine accounts over which they have trading authority.

Canadian and U.S. option trades will be subject to the same flat rate plus $1.25 per contract.  All other BMO InvestorLine Online Brokerage rates remain unchanged.

“Our research shows that more than one third of Canadians have either adopted online trading or are seriously considering it as a way to manage their investments," said Connie Stefankiewicz, President and CEO, BMO InvestorLine. "We are committed to helping clients make informed investment decisions by providing innovative tools, research, and education resources. This, combined with award-winning service, a comprehensive suite of financial planning tools and investment products, and now reduced pricing for more clients, allows BMO InvestorLine to better address the needs of online investors.”
