TORONTO and CHICAGO, February 3, 2011 – BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (TSX, NYSE: BMO), today announced the appointment of Barry Pollock as Global Head of its Loan Products Group (LPG), with responsibility for BMO Capital Markets' corporate banking business around the world.
Mr. Pollock will report directly to Bill Butt, Global Head of Investment and Corporate Banking, and will also work closely with Perry Hoffmeister, U.S. Head of Investment and Corporate Banking and Peter Myers, Canadian Head of Investment and Corporate Banking.

Mr. Pollock joined BMO Capital Markets in 1984. He spent 19 years in the company's Corporate Finance and Project Finance Groups where he had responsibility for many large financings and leveraged buyouts. Since 2003, Mr. Pollock has led the Canadian loan products business with a team of more than 40 professionals in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and the United Kingdom.
Mr. Pollock replaces Surjit Rajpal, who has recently been named Deputy Head, Enterprise Risk and Portfolio Management, and who will become Chief Risk Officer for BMO Financial Group in March.
Phil Lunn will replace Mr. Pollock as Head of Loan Products, Canada: Mr. Lunn joined BMO Capital Markets in March 2000 and has over 25 years of investment and corporate banking experience covering a variety of companies and industries.
