- Mergers and acquisitions expected to remain a major theme for 2011
TORONTO,
February 14, 2011 – A
record number of people are registered to attend the 20th annual BMO Capital
Markets Global Metals & Mining
Conference, one of the largest events in the world for metals and mining
investors. The event will be held from February 27 to March 2 in Hollywood,
Florida.
“This is the 20th anniversary of BMO's Metals and Mining

Markets. “Its success and longevity are a testament to the caliber
of our global Metals and Mining team, who host distinctive events such
as this to help our clients better understand the forces that shape the
industry.
We first held this event in 1991 in Whistler, B.C. with just a handful
of companies. Today, it has grown to become the pre-eminent industry
event. This year, investors will have an opportunity to meet executives
from over 275 leading mining companies from 31 countries around the
world. This is a truly outstanding turnout,” added Milroy.
Some of the companies scheduled to present include:

- Barrick Gold. (ABX)
- BHP Billiton (BLT)
-
Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX)
- Goldcorp (GG)

hosted by BMO's Metals & Mining
Equity Research team. With 10 dedicated metals and mining analysts in
Toronto, London, and Denver, the BMO team collectively covers around
150 companies, making it the largest mining research effort in the world.
