TORONTO, February 28, 2011 – Join Matthieu Debost, Head of Equities – Europe, BMO Capital Markets, on Tuesday, March 1 at 2:00 p.m. ET for a discussion of investment trends in the metals and mining industry, including a look at investor attitudes and market sentiment towards the sector.
“Compared to last year, we're seeing several new factors impacting the industry,” said Mr. Debost. “The global growth outlook has been raised several times, the U.S. economic outlook has improved significantly in the last three months, and supply issues are continuing to tighten markets. While precious metals continue to attract lots of appetite, we are seeing more and more interest in economically sensitive commodities such as iron ore, coal and copper.
Mr. Debost will discuss:

Matthieu heads the European sales team. Previously, he oversaw Canadian
equity sales in Europe for a major European bank, and worked for 18
years at that bank's office and predecessor firm, Bunting Warburg,
in Toronto. He joined BMO Capital Markets in 2009. Matthieu holds a
Baccalaur�at from College Notre-Dame de Sainte-Croix in Neuilly,
France, as well as a Master of Laws and Master of Business & Tax
Laws from the University of Paris.
