BMO Banks on Growth in Richmond Hill with the Opening of a $1.2 Million Full-Service Branch
  • BMO Bank of Montreal opens new branch in Richmond Hill - surrounding residential population expected to grow by 44,000 over the next 5 years.

RICHMOND HILL, ON, March 9, 2011 – BMO Bank of Montreal has opened a new personal and commercial banking branch in Richmond Hill at 1070 Major Mackenzie Drive East, at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Bayview Avenue.

The new branch is BMO's fifth in Richmond Hill, located in an already growing municipality which BMO Economics predicts will continue to expand by 44,000 residences over the next five years.

“We are committed to helping first-time home owners become mortgage free sooner and save money in interest,” said Betty Cheng, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “We invite new and existing customers to come in and speak with one of our mortgage specialists available at the new branch who can discuss options such as BMOs five-year fixed low-rate mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization. This will save homeowners thousands over time and pay off their mortgage sooner.”

The new branch features an experienced team of in-house experts, including three financial service managers, a financial services coordinator, and a registered investment advisor, along with a financial planner, two mortgage specialists, and three customer service representatives are also available.

Customers can also expect:

  • Services provided in five languages: English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Tamil, and Taiwanese;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two Instabank automated banking machines (ABM) and a free coin counter;
  • Ample free parking for BMO customers; and
  • Full wheelchair accessibility.

BMO's new Major Mackenzie & Bayview branch hours of operation are:

  • 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday;
  • 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and
  • 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
