BMO Announces Relocation of Full-Service Branch in Vancouver's Kitsilano Neighbourhood

VANCOUVER, BC, March 14, 2011 – Today BMO Bank of Montreal announced the opening of a new personal and commercial banking branch in the heart of Kitsilano at 2388 4th Avenue West near Balsam Street. This is a relocation of the former BMO branch at Broadway and Arbutus.

BMO's newest branch is located in one of Vancouver's most popular, high density residential neighbourhoods; the vast majority of residents, 89 per cent, live in low-rise condos and apartment buildings.

“We are excited to be opening at this time leading into the spring home purchasing season,” said Gary Kang, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. “We encourage new and existing customers to come in and speak with one of our available mortgage specialists who can discuss options such as BMO's five-year fixed low-rate mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization. This will save homeowners thousands over time and pay off their mortgage sooner.”

The 4th & Balsam branch is equipped to meet the needs of those in the community with an experienced team of in-house experts, including financial planners, a resident BMO Nesbitt Burns investment advisor and a small business banker; along with available mortgage specialists and financial service managers.

Customers can also expect:

  • Service provided in nine languages: English and French, as well as Mandarin, Cantonese, Punjabi, Farsi, Japanese, Urdu, and Tagalog
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two Instabank automated banking machines (ABM), a free coin counting machine; and
  • Full wheelchair accessibility.

BMO's new 4th & Balsam branch hours of operation are:
9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday;
9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and
9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday

The 4th & Balsam grand opening celebration will take place on April 30th 2011.
