Team Eligible to Win Grand Prize Including $125,000 Field Refurbishment

The Wolves of Gabriola Island are celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week and kicking off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion at Rollo McClay Field, Gabriola Island.

As BMO Team of the Week, the Gabriola Wolves will receive team track suits, a team party and $500 to a charity of their choice. The team has selected Gabriola Rescue of Wildlife Society as their charity.

"The Wolves exemplify the spirit of the contest," said Shelly Jensen, District Vice-President, Vancouver Island, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We hope Islanders will join us to recognize this remarkable young girls team for their achievements both on and off the field and celebrate their title as BMO Team of the Week winner."

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. From April 1 until June 30, teams can be nominated at BMOsoccer.com. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians, starting August 1, as BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps FC home game.
