- Team eligible to win grand prize including $125,000 field refurbishment

The Dundas Dragons are celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week and kicking off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion at the BMO Bank of Montreal branch in Dundas.

"Congratulations to the Dundas Dragons for their BMO Team of the Week win. The community of Dundas is very proud of these gifted and giving young girls," said Andrew Furgal, District Vice-President, South Central Ontario, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We look forward to acknowledging their accomplishment and celebrating this hometown win at the branch."

The team will receive team track suits, a team party and $500 to a charity of its choice; the team has selected The Terry Fox Foundation. The Foundation has a dual mandate of raising funds for cancer research and continuing to share the story of Canadian hero Terry Fox. To date, over $550 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. From April 1 until June 30, teams can be nominated at BMOsoccer.com. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians, starting August 1, as BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps FC home game.
