- Team eligible to win grand prize including $125,000 field refurbishment

- Team has selected the Canadian Cancer Society as charity of choice

The members of the Peterborough City U12 Boys soccer team are celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week and kicking off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion at their local BMO branch in Peterborough.

As BMO Team of the Week, the Peterborough City boys will receive team track suits, a team party and $500 to the charity of their choice, the Canadian Cancer Society. The Canadian Cancer Society's aim is to eliminate cancer and improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with the disease.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. From April 1 until June 30, teams can be nominated at BMOsoccer.com. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians, starting August 1, as BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps FC home game.
