BMO Supports Saskatchewan Flood Victims with $10,000 Donation to the Canadian Red Cross; BMO Introduces Flood Relief Program
SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - July 4, 2011) - BMO Financial Group today announced it will contribute $10,000 to assist the Canadian Red Cross in its relief efforts in flooded communities in the southeast region of Saskatchewan.
"We are all saddened by the scope of the damage caused by the flooding in this region," said Mike Darling, Vice President, Saskatchewan, BMO Financial Group. "But, we hope that with a little support from their friends and companies throughout Saskatchewan, and Mother Nature, residents will be able to get back in their homes and resume their lives."
As well, BMO introduced a relief program for its clients that includes:
- Deferral of personal loan payments (various options); and
- Deferral of mortgage loan principal and interest payments for a period of two months.
BMO Bank of Montreal customers are invited to visit their local branch and to speak to a financial services manager about their particular financial needs in the aftermath of the flooding.
