About BMO Team of the Week
BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. From April 1 until June 30, teams were nominated at BMOsoccer.com. Fourteen of fifteen weekly winners have already been named BMO Team of the Week, with the last team to be announced July 13. Each BMO Team of the Week is entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians, starting August 1, as BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC or Vancouver Whitecaps FC home game.
