SIMCOE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 18, 2011) - The Meat Wagon Golden Eagles U11 soccer team will celebrate their recent win as BMO Team of the Week and kick off their contention for BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion at a special event to be held at the BMO Bank of Montreal branch in Simcoe, on July 20.

"The Golden Eagles are a passionate and dedicated group of young boys and girls. We will be celebrating their BMO Team of the Week win at the BMO branch on Norfolk Street. It will be a great opportunity to congratulate them on their efforts off the soccer field as well, which include sending soccer gear to school children in Kenya," said Andrew Furgal, District Vice-President, South-central Ontario, BMO Bank of Montreal.

The team will receive team track suit and a team party, and a donation of $500 will be made by BMO to its charity of choice, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada. The foundation is committed to finding a cure for diabetes through extensive research.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier grassroots sport celebration, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams that demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. All fifteen weekly winners have now been named BMO Team of the Week and are now entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2011 Champion. Voting begins August 1.
