VAUGHAN, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 25, 2011) - BMO Bank of Montreal invites members of the community to celebrate the grand opening of its new full-service branch located at 30 Famous Avenue, on Saturday, August 27th, 2011.
To celebrate the occasion, BMO will be donating $5000 to the Vaughan Health Care Foundation.
"We are honoured to be accepting this generous gift," says Bob Baker, President & CEO, Vaughan Health Care Foundation. "BMO's donation to our local hospital demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of the neighbourhoods and regions they serve and will contribute to strengthening the health care services we offer."
The new BMO branch is located in one of Canada's fastest growing municipalities. "Vaughan boasts a below-average unemployment rate, and its population has nearly doubled in the past fifteen years," said Robert Kavcic, Economist, BMO Capital Markets.
In order to meet the needs of its growing customer base, the $1.5 million new branch is outfitted with the latest banking conveniences, including:
- Free coin counter;
- Services provided in five languages: English, Italian, Armenian, Russian and Spanish;
- Access to commercial account and deposit services;
- Two ATMs;
- Free parking; and
- Barrier free access.
"We encourage members of the community to come in and speak with our team about their financial needs," said Marisa Genua, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. "For example, we offer a variety of mortgage options such as BMO's five-year fixed low-rate mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization. This will save homeowners and their families thousands over time and help pay off their mortgage sooner.
Ms. Genua also extended her congratulations to Vaughan's Glen Shields Sun Devils 2000, this year's BMO Team of the Week national champions.
