TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 6, 2011) - BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE:BMO)(TSX:BMO), today announced that highly regarded analyst, Ian de Verteuil, is rejoining BMO as Global Head of Research.
Mr. de Verteuil will have oversight for all BMO Capital Markets research products; he will report to Mike Miller, Executive Managing Director and Head of Equity Products. Jack Blackstock and Paul Campbell, co-Heads of Equity Research, will report to Mr. de Verteuil.

Mr. de Verteuil joined BMO Capital Markets' predecessor firm Burns Fry in 1987. Over his career as an analyst, he achieved top rankings in three sectors: consumer products, insurance and banks. He left BMO in 2009 to join the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board as Head of Fundamental Research, which included responsibility for some of the fund's active investments in public companies around the world. Mr. de Verteuil holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from McGill University and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.
