HAMILTON, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2011) - BMO Bank of Montreal invites members of the community to celebrate the grand opening of its newly relocated, full-service branch in Hamilton's Limeridge Shopping Centre at 999 Upper Wentworth Street on Saturday, September 24th. The branch has been relocated from 920 Upper Wentworth Street.

"Hamilton's labour market has been relatively steady, with the jobless rate averaging a shade above 6 per cent so far in 2011, more than a full percentage point below the national average," said Robert Kavcic, Economist, BMO Capital Markets. "The housing market is also firm, with average home prices and existing home sales touching record levels in recent months, so the economic backdrop in the region is encouraging."

With services provided in six different languages, the new BMO facility represents an investment of $1.5 million into the Hamilton community, and is designed to meet the needs of its diverse customer base. The open-concept design features individualized customer service stations and is outfitted with the latest banking conveniences, creating a welcoming and comfortable banking experience for customers.

"We are excited to be re-opening our doors to this vibrant community," said Tracy Brooks, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We encourage new and existing customers to come in and discuss BMO's unique home-buying options, such as our five-year fixed low-rate mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization which can help save homeowners thousands of dollars over time and become mortgage free faster."

Customers can also expect:
  • Free coin counting machine;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Three ATMs;
  • Free parking in the shopping centre complex; and
  • Barrier-free access.
Ms. Brooks leads a team of 23 professionals including six financial service managers, a BMO Nesbitt Burns advisor and an in-house financial planner.
