Media Advisory: CivicAction Shares 5-Step Model to Environmental Transformation at 10th Annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo!

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 3, 2011) - On October 5, CivicAction will present "CivicAction Transforms Organizations" at the US Green Building Council's Greenbuild International Conference and Expo.

CivicAction was selected as one of the Best in Canada Top Seven organizations to present an educational session at the annual conference, which attracts 25,000 attendees and is being hosted for the first time outside the U.S. in Toronto.

CivicAction's Chair, John Tory, will moderate a panel discussion with senior executives from Royal Bank, BMO, and electric vehicle organization Plug'n Drive who are voluntary leaders of CivicAction's environmental initiative, Greening Greater Toronto. They will share the benefits and results of multi-sector collaboration, and the keys to fostering engagement and leadership in the private, public and not for profit sectors on environmental issues. They will illustrate their insights through examples from the Commercial Building Energy Initiative, the Green Procurement Initiative and the Greening Canada Fund.
