BMO InvestorLine Expands Capabilities to Enhance Client Experience

ETF Screener and U.S. Currency features help Canadian investors invest with efficiency and ease

- ETF Screener and Compare Tool will help clients navigate the growing ETF market

- U.S. Currency feature allows investors to settle trades in U.S. dollars within registered accounts

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 5, 2011) - BMO InvestorLine has announced the introduction of two new features to its online investing platform to further help online investors control their own financial futures. The new ETF (Exchange Traded Fund) Screener and Compare Tool, and the U.S. Currency feature will enhance the way Canadians invest online, while accommodating the needs of every level of investor.

"As technology continues to change the way Canadians invest, BMO InvestorLine remains committed to enhancing our offerings to help our clients become better investors," said Cesar Rainusso, Vice President, BMO InvestorLine. "Our suite of online solutions, which now include an ETF screener and the ability to hold U.S. currency in registered accounts, provides investors with access to the innovative tools and educational resources needed to help them create investment plans, select the right investments and manage their portfolios effectively."

BMO InvestorLine ETF Screener and Compare Tool:

This new tool guides investors through the ETF selection process and makes researching ETFs easy. It provides a variety of search criteria, including asset class, ETF types and market (Canada or U.S.).

Once the criteria are selected, investors are provided with comprehensive information about selected ETFs including quotes, performance returns, fundamental data and risk and volatility ratios.

The tool also has a unique comparison feature that allows BMO InvestorLine clients to compare up to four ETFs from the search results on one chart, as well as view key features (top 10 holdings, performance, quote information, ratings) in a side-by-side comparison.

BMO InvestorLine U.S. Currency Feature:

Most registered accounts (including Registered Retirement Savings Plans and Tax Free Savings Plans) can now hold Canadian and U.S. dollars.

Investors gain the flexibility to hold Canadian and U.S. dollars in one integrated account, giving them the option of settling trades in the currency of their preference.

With this feature, investors who frequently buy and sell securities in U.S. markets can also avoid foreign exchange fees by settling trades in U.S. dollars.
