MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: Monteuil Sparta celebrate BMO Team of the Week Win

- Team vying to win grand prize including $125,000 field refurbishment

- The girls' team to be actively involved with the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec to raise funds and provide nutritious breakfasts to school kids

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - April 26, 2012) - Laval's Monteuil Sparta, a team of U-9 girls from Laval, is holding a celebration event at the BMO Vimont Branch, located at 2040 Boulevard des Laurentides in Laval on April 27 to mark their win as the first BMO Team of the Week for 2012.

"We are delighted to see Monteuil Sparta named the first BMO Team of the Week for 2012," said Mario Rigante, Vice-President, Laval and Northwest Quebec, BMO Bank of Montreal. "Their work ethic, team spirit and community commitment are a perfect illustration of what the BMO Team of the Week competition is all about."

To mark their win as BMO Team of the Week, Monteuil Sparta is making a donation to the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec, whose mission is to provide Quebec elementary and secondary school students with a nutritious breakfast to help improve their academic performance. The Club is present in more than 100 primary and secondary schools across the province.

About BMO Team of the Week

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week starting April 18, and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC or Canadian National Team home game, and a $5,000 donation to the team's charity of choice.
