Media Advisory/Photo Opportunity: Acme Dragons Celebrate BMO Team of the Week

- Team vying for 2012 BMO Team of the Week Champion, a title which includes a $125,000 prize towards a field refurbishment for their club and community

- Acme Dragons have selected the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation for $500 donation from BMO

ACME, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - June 1, 2012) - The Acme Dragons mixed U-10 team are celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week at the BMO branch at 102 Main St. in Acme on Monday, June 4th.

"The Acme Dragons are a perfect example of what we look for in our winning BMO Team of the Week," said Mike Suzuki, District Vice-President, Southern Alberta, BMO Financial Group. "Not only do they work hard on the field, these boys and girls spread their positive spirit throughout the community by collecting food for those less fortunate - keeping their charitable efforts close to home. Congratulations to a team that demonstrates both sportsmanship and heart."

The team is the fifth BMO Team of the Week winner in 2012. As part of that title, BMO will be donating $500 to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation on behalf of the Acme Dragons. The Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation raises funds for excellence in child health, research, and family-centered care.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week starting April 18, and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field, a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC, or Canadian National Team home game, and a $5,000 donation to the team's charity of choice.
