TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 18, 2012) - BMO Bank of Montreal today announced the opening of its newly relocated Danforth & Woodbine full-service banking branch in Toronto at 2083 Danforth Ave. The new open concept branch offers customers extended banking hours seven days a week.

The larger branch features more office space and is designed to provide a great banking experience through a variety of financial services and conveniences, including:

  • A free coin counter - a simple-to-use kiosk which counts your loose change;
  • Services provided in five languages;
  • Access to commercial account and deposit services;
  • Two ATMs; and
  • Barrier-free access.

"We are excited to be opening our doors to our new location in the Danforth community," said Troy Jalovec, Branch Manager, BMO Bank of Montreal. "The vibrant and expanding area of Danforth and Woodbine is a home to new businesses in Toronto. With our small business and financial planning experts available on-site, new and existing members of the community are invited to come in and speak with our team to discuss all their financial needs."

Mr. Jalovec added that with the spring home buying season underway, customers looking to purchase a home are encouraged to come in and discuss all their home financing options. "BMO offers a new 10-year mortgage with a maximum 25-year amortization. By choosing a shorter amortization, Canadians can build equity sooner and save on interest costs."

"The Greater Toronto Area is the heart of the Canadian economy, and continues to see strong economic trends," said Robert Kavcic, Economist, BMO Capital Markets. "Population growth is running at almost twice the national average, home prices are near record levels and construction activity is robust."

Customers who open a new BMO Kids Discounted Banking Plan and deposit $25 between June 18th and July 31st will receive another $25 from BMO to help kick-start their child's savings.

Mr. Jalovec is joined by a team of 11 financial professionals including a financial planner and small business expert. BMO's Danforth & Woodbine branch extended hours of operation, which commence June 18th, are:

  • 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Wednesday;
