MEDIA ADVISORY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY-Dartmouth Storm 12 'C' Boys Celebrate Team of the Week Title

- Team vying for 2012 BMO Team of the Week Champion, a title which includes a $125,000 prize towards a field refurbishment for their club and community

- Storm have selected Feeding Others of Dartmouth Society (Margaret's House) as recipient of $500 donation from BMO

DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 7, 2012) - The Dartmouth Storm 12 'C' Boys will be rallying the community and celebrating their recent win as BMO Team of the Week at the BMO Mic Mac Mall branch this Wednesday, August 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Dartmouth Storm will receive BMO Team of the Week tracksuits and a $500 prize. The team will also make a presentation of a $500 cheque to Feeding Other's of Dartmouth Society (Margaret's House), which the Storm have selected to receive a donation from BMO as part of the win.

"It's inspiring to see a group that comes together to play soccer but grows into a family and gives back to the community like this team has done," said Laura Charlton, District Vice-President, Halifax, BMO Bank of Montreal. "Not only did the players clean up their community field, but they volunteered at the local soup kitchen by running a food drive. BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing the members of youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners have been named and are now entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field; a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact FC, or Canadian National Team home game; and a $5,000 donation to the team's charity of choice.
