TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 21, 2012) - With one week left to vote for the BMO Team of the Week 2012 Champion, BMO offers Canadians tips on how to vote for your favourite youth soccer team - and encourage others to do the same.

One vote brings each team - and their community - one step closer to the grand prize of $125,000 towards a field refurbishment.

Get the Link: At BMOsoccer.com, you can read about each finalist and cast your vote once per day. There's also a video (English: http://youtu.be/CeUCvrThD2A French: http://youtu.be/XGkZu1TZrno) you can share.

Tweet it, Like it, Share it: A simple tweet or Facebook status update could reach people you might not have the chance to encourage to vote in person. Each time you vote on BMOsoccer.com, all you have to do is click on the appropriate icon to spread the word via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Get Your Local Politician Involved: Winning the grand prize of $125,000 will help the team and the community. Reach out to local politicians and ask them to help spread the word and also cast their vote.

Reach out to Media: Notify local editors, radio personalities and TV news producers. They all have an interest in what's of interest to the community - ask them to help you spread the word and rally local pride.

Talk it Up: Mention BMO Team of the Week to your family, friends and neighbours, as well as encourage others in your community to vote. You don't have to know someone on the team to cast a vote.

Get Creative: Create signs in support of your local team and put them up in popular places around the community: grocery stores, gyms, arenas, schools, etc.

"Each of the finalists in this year's program is a shining example of what the BMO Team of the Week contest is about," said Sandy Bourne, Vice President, Sponsorships, BMO Financial Group. "These teams were selected because of the players' incredible passion, dedication to the community and each other, and their inspiration and engagement of those around them.

"We are encouraging all Canadians to cast their votes. Each vote will bring one lucky team closer to a prize that will benefit their community and create a truly memorable experience," added Ms. Bourne.
