BMO Financial Group Donates $125,000 to Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon

- Donation supports capital campaign to expand current facility by 30,000 square feet

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwired - April 8, 2013) - The Board of Directors of Ronald McDonald House today announced a donation of $125,000 from BMO Financial Group in support of The Ronald McDonald capital campaign.

Ronald McDonald House Saskatchewan has launched a capital campaign goal of $10 million. Funds raised will expand the current facility by 30,000 square feet, will also increase the number of bedrooms to 31 and will include 12 more bathrooms, an additional kitchen/work station and laundry room, another play area and a maternal baby care room.

"BMO's generosity is overwhelming," said Ronald McDonald House Executive Director Tammy Forrester. "This gift demonstrates an unwavering belief in what we do and a deepened commitment to fostering healthy communities. Thank you, BMO!"

John MacAulay, Senior Vice President, Prairies Central Canada Division, BMO Financial Group, announced the gift at a reception in Saskatoon prior to the company's annual meeting in the city.

"BMO has had a long relationship with Ronald McDonald House in Saskatoon," said Mr. MacAulay. "This donation will mean many more families in Saskatchewan can have a home away from home as they lend critical emotional support when their children need medical treatment. We believe that by investing in the neighbourhoods, towns, cities and regions where we operate, we will provide tangible benefits."
