BMO Harris Private Banking today announced the appointment of Alan Desnoyers as Vice-President and Managing Director, Quebec.

Mr. Desnoyers will be responsible for implementing the overall business strategy for BMO Harris Private Banking in Quebec. He will lead a team of approximately 100 experienced professionals who provide highly personalized services in banking, investment management, estate, trust, succession planning and philanthropic services.

Mr. Desnoyers has been a senior executive and leader in the business banking and personal banking sector for the last 27 years, most notably as a senior vice-president. He has also acted as a business consultant, placing his entrepreneurial skills and strategic vision at the service of his clients.

Mr. Desnoyers previously held the position of Vice-President, Personal Banking, Montreal Region, BMO Bank of Montreal. He succeeds Yannick Archambault, who has been promoted to the position of Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, BMO Harris Private Banking, in Toronto.

Mr. Desnoyers holds degrees in commerce from McGill University and in management from the University of Pennsylvania's prestigious Wharton School of Business. Additionally, he is very involved in the community; he holds a seat on the campaign cabinet of Centraide of Greater Montreal, he is on the board of the Jewish General Hospital Foundation where he is also the co-chair of the 2013 Golf Classic, and he is on the board of the McGill Alumni Association.
