Second Annual BMO Volunteer Day: BMO Employees in Montreal and Across North America Give Back to the Community

- BMO employees help two after school programs by packing snack bags for children

- Approximately 5,600 BMO employees are expected to take part in more than 470 projects across North America

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - June 4, 2013) - On Wednesday, June 5, BMO employees in Montreal will help package snack bags for after school programs for children in Montreal.

The event will be part of the second North America-wide BMO Volunteer Day, with 5,600 employees across Canada and the U.S. rolling up their sleeves to give back.

"It's hard to believe that in Canada one in ten children start the day on an empty stomach," said Filip Papich, Managing Director, Sales, BMO Capital Markets. "Partnering with an agency that helps provide meals to young children is an honour, and a project of which BMO is proud to support."

Volunteers will be packing the bags on the BMO Capital Markets Trading Floor. The bags will then be distributed to La Maison des Enfants de l'île de Montréal and L'Ancre des jeunes.

BMO Volunteer Day

BMO Volunteer Day is a legacy of BMO Harris Bank in the United States, which launched the event in 2001. In recent years, the initiative has expanded to include all of BMO Financial Group. This year, BMO Volunteer Day will take place on June 5th; it will include approximately 5,600 employees participating in more than 470 projects in communities across Canada and the U.S.
