BMO Supports Lac-Megantic Community with $50,000 Donation to the Quebec Red Cross
MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - July 8, 2013) - BMO Financial Group today announced it will contribute $50,000 to assist the Red Cross in its relief efforts in Lac-Mégantic following the terrible train tragedy in this community of the Eastern Townships of Quebec.
"We are all saddened by the scope of the damage and we grieve with the families who have lost loved ones or who still have loved ones unaccounted for at this time," said L. BMO Bank of Montreal operated a branch in Lac-Mégantic from 1895 up until 2001. BMO Bank of Montreal will also be accepting donations in its branches on behalf of the Red Cross.
