TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug. 12, 2013) - Time is running out for Canadians to cast their vote for the BMO Team of the Week 2013 Champion. With only one week left, BMO is encouraging Canadians to visit bmosoccer.com and vote daily for their favourite team.

Canadians can show their support by voting for their favourite team once a day, from now until August 19. Each vote will bring a team closer to winning the grand prize and gives Canadian voters a chance to earn up to 2,500 Bonus AIR MILES.

With voting well under way, Justine Fedak, Senior Vice President, Branding, Advertising & Sponsorships, BMO Financial Group, encourages Canadians to get out and vote. Ms. Fedak shares her thoughts here.

The team with the most votes will be named the BMO Team of the Week 2013 Champion and will win $125,000 towards the refurbishment of their local soccer field, a team trip to see a Toronto FC, Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC or Canadian National Team home game, plus $5,000 for a charity of their choice. The winner will be announced on TSN's MLS coverage and TVA's Coup d'oeil.

From April 17 to July 12, Canadian soccer coaches and parents submitted nominations for their favourite youth soccer teams, explaining why their team deserved to be the BMO Team of the Week. Fifteen weekly winners were selected by a panel of judges, each receiving a $500 team prize, $500 for their charity of choice, BMO Team of the Week track suits, and a celebration at a local BMO branch.
