    BMO Wins National and International Honours for Governance and Innovation in Law

    TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Aug. 22, 2013) - BMO Financial Group's Legal, Corporate and Compliance Group received two top honours this week for its innovative use of technology to facilitate information sharing, learning and regulatory compliance throughout the organization.

    National Governance Award

    The Canadian Society of Corporate Secretaries announced its inaugural Corporate Governance Awards. BMO received top honours for its use of technology to inform, educate and facilitate sound governance, ethics, compliance and risk management practices throughout its entire employee and stakeholder base worldwide.

    2013 Innovative Law Department of the Year

    BMO was also honoured this week as most Innovative Law Department of the Year by the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). BMO won a 2013 Distinguished Peer Award in the Organization Awards category. The award recognizes individual and team excellence for delivering great business value and transformational impact through innovations and implementations within their organization.
