NEW YORK, NEW YORK--(Marketwired - Sept. 16, 2013) - BMO Capital Markets, the investment and corporate banking arm of BMO Financial Group (NYSE:BMO)(TSX:BMO), has added key trading professionals to its U.S. team, further bolstering the firm's equity sales and trading platform.
Joining the group are Jim Gallagher as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equity Sector Trading, David Matlow as Managing Director, U.S. Equity Sales Trading and New York Sales Manager, Daniel Mara as Director, U.S. Equity Sales Trading and Ashley Amo as Vice President, U.S. Equity Sales Trading.
All four are based in New York and will report to David Porcelli, who was recently appointed Co-Head of U.S. Equity Products and Head of U.S. Equity Trading Execution.

Prior to joining BMO, Jim Gallagher was most recently the Sector Head for Energy, Utilities, Healthcare, Materials and MLP sectors at Barclays Capital. He was ranked No. 1 in Energy trading for four consecutive years by Greenwich Associates and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Georgetown University.
David Matlow comes to BMO from Barclays Capital, where he was a liquid markets sales trader. While at Barclays, he consistently ranked in the top three among all cash sales traders in the Americas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Business/Economics & History from Lafayette College.
Daniel Mara was most recently with Citigroup Global Markets where he focused on hedge fund sales trading. He holds a J.D. Law Degree from the Fordham School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Boston College.
Ashley Amo was most recently with Goldman Sachs, where she spent the last five years focused on U.S. equity sales trading. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University.
