BMO Bank of Montreal Announces Tornado Relief Program For Customers In Angus, Ontario

BARRIE, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 18, 2014) - BMO Bank of Montreal today announced a financial tornado relief program to assist customers affected by the tornado in Angus, Ontario, and other impacted locations throughout the Essa Township community.

"Many homes have been seriously damaged by the tornado and as a result residents are facing challenges - both financially and otherwise - in the aftermath of the storm," said Susan Markus, Regional Vice President, BMO Bank of Montreal. "We want to support our customers that are affected by these damages and hope our relief program will help alleviate some of the difficulties."

The relief program for BMO clients includes:

  • Deferral of personal loan payments (various options)
  • Deferral of personal mortgage loan principal and interest payments for a period of two months
  • Special accommodations for BMO Bank of Montreal commercial customers affected by the severe weather, which are being developed on a case-by-case basis.

BMO Bank of Montreal customers are invited to contact their local branch to speak to a financial services manager about their particular financial needs as the clean up continues.
