BMO Recognized for Sustainability Performance

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 4, 2015) - BMO Financial Group has been recognized for its sustainability performance by two Canadian publications this week. For the fourteenth consecutive year - every year since the inception of the list - BMO has been named one of Canada's Best 50 Corporate Citizens by Corporate Knights. BMO has also been named to the Maclean's/Sustainalytics list of the Top 50 Socially Responsible Corporations in Canada.

"We are proud to be included with these select groups of companies as being leaders in sustainability performance," said Simon Fish, General Counsel and Chair of BMO's Sustainability Council. "To receive these honours year after year - from organizations focused on making this a better world - reinforces to us that we're concentrating on the issues that also matter most to our customers, employees and other stakeholders."

BMO and Sustainability

BMO has attained and maintained Carbon Neutrality across the enterprise since 2010 and achieved ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System in two Greater Toronto Area buildings. BMO is also included on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World and was the highest ranked company by Report on Business' Board Games 2014.
