BMO Global Asset Management Wins Multiple Honours at 2015 Lipper Fund Awards

Recognitions Include Group Award for Equity ETFs in Canada

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 5, 2015) - BMO Global Asset Management (BMO GAM) was recognized for investment excellence in multiple categories at last night's Lipper Fund Awards in Toronto.

The annual Lipper Fund Awards honour top risk-adjusted performing funds relative to peers. In addition, they recognize fund families with high average scores for all funds within a particular asset class or overall.

This year, BMO's Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) business won the Group Award for Equity ETFs in Canada. In 2009, BMO became the first Canadian bank to successfully introduce ETFs in Canada. Today, BMO offers 69 ETFs, including 48 equity-based ETFs. BMO has been responsible for several industry firsts and has led the Canadian ETF industry in net-new inflows for four consecutive years.

BMO GAM also claimed top honours for the following funds:

  • BMO Precious Metals Fund – Series A: Best Mutual Fund in the Precious Metals Equity Space (over five years)
  • BMO Mid Corporate Bond Index ETF: Best Fund in the Canadian Fixed Income Space (over three years)
  • BMO Junior Gas Index ETF: Best Fund in the Energy Equity Space (over three years)
